Activities: Educational Demonstrations
 

Educational project based demonstration is an annual event organized by IDEA to provide students in grades 8 to 12 across the UAE a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and talents in career focused disciplines of engineering, technology, medical science and other fields of educational interest.

Awards are presented to the winning teams in three categories: Best Innovative Theme, Best Informative Demonstration and Best Presentation.

The first edition of IDEA’s educational demonstration, involving about 250 students in 75 teams, was held on 22nd and 23rd June 2005 in Abu Dhabi.  This event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr Majid Al Mansouri, Secretary General of Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD).

The second edition of annual student educational demonstration was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Hanif Hassan, the UAE Minister of Education and in association with Abu Dhabi University on 15th and 16th December 2006 at the University Campus in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. 250 teams formed by about 750 multi-national students participated in this educational exhibition.

The third edition of IDEA Annual Students Educational Exhibition was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Education at the Abu Dhabi Indian School Campus on 2nd and 3rd January 2009. Over 700 students of Grades 7 to 12 in 250 teams representing 19 schools and 25 nationalities from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ruwais and Al Ain presented their creativity and talents in disciplines ranging from engineering, medical science, technology to general streams during the                                           two-day event sponsored by Etisalat.

H.E. Mr. Rashid Salem Al Nuaimi, Director General, Ministry of Education inaugurated the event at a glittering opening ceremony which was attended by H.E. Mr. Talmiz Ahmad, the Ambassador of India to the UAE.

Students of the following schools have won Etisalat IDEA Awards at the Exhibition.

3. St. Joseph’s High School, Abu Dhabi
4. Delhi Private School, Sharjah
5. Our Own English High School, Al Ain
6. Our Own English High School, Abu Dhabi
7. Asian International Private School, Ruwais
8. Al Noor Indian Islamic School, Abu Dhabi
9. Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai

IDEA 2010 UAE Open Talent Search – News
1. The following Certificates will be available for collection from Office Suite 1102, 11th floor, Al Ain Ahalia Insurance Building (Behind Marjan Plaza), Sh. Hamdan Street, Abu Dhabi from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the period from 23rd May to 31st May 2010 (excluding Friday/Saturday).
Certificates of Participation - for students who have taken part in the Talent Search Competitions
Winner Certificates - for Winners who have received Talent Awards at the Award Presentation Ceremony
Students/Parents are requested to bring the Hall Ticket while collecting the Certificates.

IDEA 2010 Scholastic Awards for Academic Excellence
In recognition of the academic excellence of students, IDEA will soon organize a Scholastic Award Presentation for IDEA Members’ children who have scored 80%+ marks in their X and XII of CBSE and State Board examinations held in Abu Dhabi in March 2010.  Members are requested to send a self-attested copy of the Mark Sheet of their ward to idea@ideauae.org before 1st June 2010, indicating the Member's Name, Roll Number and student's percentage of marks/grade, with the parent's signature on the mark sheet.  Date/time/venue of the Scholastic Award Presentation will be advised separately.
