IDEA organizes ‘Annual Talent Search’ amongst students in grades 1 to 12 across the UAE, with a slogan of ‘in search of budding talents’.  This aims to search budding talents in drawing, coloring, poetry, elocution and quiz contests and recognize outstanding performers in the respective fields at 6 levels.

The first UAE Open Talent Search was conducted by IDEA on 12th May 2006 in Abu Dhabi where over 1,200 students from 32 schools across the UAE participated.  The Award Presentation Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr Chandra Mohan Bhandari, Ambassador of India to the UAE and Dr. Reynold Macpherson, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University.

The second UAE Open Talent Search competitions where held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education at the Abu Dhabi Indian School Campus on 6th June 2008. Over 2,500 students, representing 24 Nationalities, from 41 Schools across 4 Emirates, participated in the day-long student focused event which was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan. Dr. Maryam Al Ali, Director of Private Education, Ministry of Education, presented Talent Awards to the winners at a glittering award presentation ceremony.
